This was my lockdown project.  At the beginning of lockdown I started to document the spring flowers as they were coming into bloom.  As a nature lover and a daily walker, there is something magical about the coming and going of the hedgerow blooms, each in succession, in it's place, in it's time.  This year more than ever I noticed the little nuances of nature.....  pear blossomed weeks before the apple, leaves always in 7 pairs on the vetch stalks and their tendrills all identical.   Inspired by Charles Rennie Macintosh's watercolours of Fritillaria each illustration is accompanied by an Art Deco design with Latin and common names, printed on the reverse of the cards.

The drawings have been printed landscape A6, postcard size, on a beautiful textured card, with quality laid envelopes and little flower stickers.  They make perfect gifts, or a special card to send a message to a special friend.
